What are the tests to diagnose diabetes?
There are a plethora of tests available for diagnosis of Diabetes. The following blood tests are used to diagnose diabetes:
- Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) >= 126 mg/dL
- Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) >= 200 mg/dL
- Glycosylated hemoglobin or hemoglobin A1c >= 6.5%
- Random Plasma Glucose Test >= 200 mg/dL
